Ipswich Town have confirmed the signing of midfielder Florentino from Burnley.
Florentino has signed a five-year contract with the Tractor Boys after a deal worth an initial £16m was agreed with Burnley, with a further £3m due in add-ons.
The 26-year-old joined Burnley on an initial loan deal from Benfica last summer, before signing permanently for the Clarets.
He made 31 appearances in the Premier League last season, providing two assists as the Clarets finished 19th and were relegated straight back to the Championship.
Florentino also brings Champions League experience with him, playing 24 times in UEFA’s premier competition during his time with Benfica.

Florentino is Ipswich’s ninth first-team signing this summer, with the likes of Daizen Maeda, Issa Diop and Emersonn also joining the newly promoted outfit.
Gary O’Neil’s side begin their 2026-27 Premier League season at home to Sunderland on August 22, and their first away game is against Manchester United eight days later.
