Buckcherry Members Unharmed After Tour Bus Involved in Tragic Multi-Vehicle Accident

“Authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality,” said the band in a statement

Early Friday morning, Buckcherry was involved in a car crash while traveling for its Roar Like Thunder Tour. The band said that its members and touring crew are “safe and unharmed.â€

The group stated that authorities confirmed a person was killed in the collision that occurred ahead of their tour bus. “At approximately 2:00 AM Friday morning, Buckcherry's tour bus was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on I-26 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina,†the group shared in a statement posted to social media. “Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life.†Additional details surrounding the circumstances of the crash or identity of the person who died was not provided.

The band added, “We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support.â€

Buckcherry's scheduled performance at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday is expected to go ahead as planned. There were no other changes to the tour schedule.

The band's current tour is in support of their 11th album, Roar Like Thunder, which released in June 2025 via Round Hill Records in North America. The LP was recorded in Nashville at Sienna Studios and produced by Marti Frederiksen; all 10 tracks were penned by frontman Josh Todd, guitarist Stevie Dacanay (Stevie D), and Frederiksen.

Buckcherry's current lineup includes Todd as the only original member, Dacanay, guitarist Billy Rowe, bass player Kelly LeMieux, and drummer Francis Ruiz.
