Gable lost his mask earlier this year and turned his attention to making amends to the Luchadores he beefed with, including Penta. Gable earned a shot at Penta's WWE Intercontinental Championship and the two did battle at SummerSlam on Sunday.
Gable survived a Mexican Destroyer on the apron as well as the rest of Penta's high-flying moves. He then put Penta in an ankle lock and made the superstar tap out. He became the intercontinental champion on his sixth attempt. It's also his first singles title.
