The following evacuations have been requested for the Colwash Fire, per dispatch traffic in Yakima County:
- Level 3 (GO NOW) Evacuations -Â south of WA-22, south of Glade Rd to the county line
- Level 2 (BE SET) Evacuations -Â Â north side of WA-22 in Mabton area
- Level 1 (BE READY) Evacuations – East of Glade Rd

Original Story (8/22/26 @ 1:15 p.m.)
TOPPENISH, Wash. – Around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, resources arrived on scene to a vegetation fire about 2 miles northeast of BIA Rd 15 and BIA Rd 196, technically a Toppenish address. Although the initial estimated acreage was 25-30 acres (per radio traffic), the latest official update from the National Interagency Fire Center has it at 700 acres.
